30 Day Fitness Challenge:
30 Day Sister Challenge, why would we do such a thing? Sally and I have always enjoyed some healthy competition so we thought why not do a challenge.
Today is my 2 year bariatric surgery anniversary and I can happily say that I’ve reached my goal weight. But I haven’t reached my fitness goals.
Before the surgery and for awhile afterwards I was doing pretty good with exercising. Then I let my asthma and the cold weather get the best of me. It’s so easy to have excuses isn’t it? Needless to say I never got back to exercising.
My asthma is under control and the weather is great so Sally and I decided it’s time for a healthy competition. I have no excuses anymore!
The competition will last for 30 days. Our goal is walking 3 miles a day, 5 days a week. 2 of those days will include running up and down steps. We will also keep track of our measurements.
We’re starting off today, May 14th with walking 1 mile 3 days a week and progress from there. We’ll keep you updated every Sunday with measurements and how much we are walking.
